Rules

Post by uncledave on Thu Jul 31, 2008 1:51 pm

Rules are for golf, not road trips.
Used to be a 7 mile rule, but who counts? lol!

Rental

Post by uncledave on Thu Jul 31, 2008 2:52 am

Probably best to rent a car at the airport boys, cause we'll all be hammered by 5 clown , then take Division all the way out (Sat won't be bad) to the "y" Hwy 2 cut off to Newport. Follow Hwy 2 about 34 miles N from the "y" (Hwy 365/Hwy 2, Deer Park/Newport) climbing up into the hills to Cusick/Metaline Falls cut off on Hwy 211 (it's a left) and follow that road to the 4 mile marker. Lake is on the left and you made it. cheers

study So pretty easy, Spokane airport to Division...Division to Hwy 2, bear R...Hwy 2 to Hwy 211 take a left...4 mile marker (just past the Circle Moon Theater) lake on the left and yer here. scratch

If it starts to get weird on ya we'll send out the dogs,

Bobo and I arrive in Spokane on Saturday at 4:45PM. We depart Friday (8/22) at 3:25. Dave emailed me earlier and asked about transportation. I told him we can rent a car if need be. Just let us know. If we rent, I will need directions to "da lake". See you soon boys and looking forward to it greatly!

Head spinning a little from the options. I thought Griz and Dave had it all locked up a few days ago. I'm totally behind whatever it was Griz described to me a few days ago. Great solution. Always limitless options, but really like the solid solution we discussed a few days ago. Book it Dano!

Additionally...

Post by uncledave on Mon Jul 28, 2008 2:48 pm

We could start at Chewy Mon/Tues, or hit Twinn Lakes Tues, then go to cRaven Wed overnight somewhere closer to IC for the final like last year... study

Ok...3/4 or5 rounds then???

Post by uncledave on Mon Jul 28, 2008 2:37 pm

cheers So everyone satisfied with the 5 rounds but with a change of venue for the champs diner to Thursday night after IC...or...

Start Mon at cRaven return to lake, Chewy once/twice Tues/Wed or do Twinn Lakes Wed, easy enough to return to the lake from either. Final Thurs at IC followed by champs diner at the lake for those with commitments. (did snapper gain 28 more lbs just for a tourney?)
Use all three Mon/Tues/Wed rounds to develope a pill, er I mean handycap. jocolor
Fewer rounds would satisfy most of our older and injured crowd I'm hearing. Smile

Let's finalize input by the 31st and I'll make the tee times,
pirat king
P.S. when do, snapper and bobo hit town again Question

I would love to see the Champion's dinner on Thursday as Bobo and I depart Friday afternoon back to Vegas. We have to be back for another annual event on Saturday called Fat Boy. It's a 4-man scramble tournament where your team must weigh in at 900 pounds or more, or else you have to pay a bigger entry fee. I was 28 pounds heavier last year just to try and make weight, but we still came up short!

Anyway, can we plan Thursday for the big dinner to accommodate the Vegas guys? We sure would appreciate it! Really look forward to seeing y'all real soon.

Inquiring minds need to know

Post by uncledave on Wed Jul 23, 2008 11:23 pm

Still trying to see if Wes will play this year... Hope so but his shoulder is in bad shape...I'll also pass along the request to find out if Lance is on the menu...Scotty I understand will be a no show and no one has heard from Johnny. I think that makes 2 4 sums and 4 double occupancy reservations, but maybe things will have changed by the time I get back on Sun.
Firm it up if ya can y'all!!!
Now where the hell is the spell check on this thing?

My vote is yes.

I have a head count of 8 confirmed and 3 unconfirmed.

Confirmed: Wes, Mike, Dave, Jim, Griz, Coz, Snapper, Bobo

Unconfirmed: Lance, Scotty, Johnny Law

So we need to make reservations for 3 tee times per round, and we can cancel one if needed. I presume we can do the same with the accomodations if we find out how long in advance we need to cancel without penalty.

Inquiring minds need to know

Post by uncledave on Wed Jul 23, 2008 2:45 pm

bounce Ok boys, need to get # of players from ya so we can get the best results from our efforts for tee times and lodging. I won't be around through this weekend do to a resent death in the family and I'd like to put a fade on this program before the end of the month.

So here we go...

Starting Sun/Mon Augt 17/18th...
2 rounds at cRaven with an overnight stay
Mon night at the Lake
Tues/Weds Augt 19th/20th...
2 rounds at Chewy with a possible overnight stay
Wed night at the Lake
Thur Augt 21st...
Final round at IC

study Final round handycap will come from the 1st 4 rounds with highest and lowest personal scores discarded leaving 2 round stroke average for the handycap. It's currently the fairest way we've devised so no one is ever out of the running even at IC.
Be generous and keep in mind the needs of the many. affraid

Fri Augt 22nd...

Look forward to seeing y'all again this year,
