Sounds like a great price but, I think we better get Dave to go check the place out before we commit. At that price, I have a feeling the accomodations might not be quite the standards to which we are accustomed.

Turns out it is $62.15 each for the hotel and golf at the Nordlig. That's seems like a great deal to me. They say they only have 2 smoking rooms left, and another two non smoking. I'm thinking we should grab the Tuesday night. Agreed?

I heard back from the hotel in Chewelah.

They said the golf and stay package for 2 is $124.30. I've sent them an email asking if that is essentially $62.15 each for room and golf (which would be a hell of a deal) or $124.30 each (which we could probably do better just paying the $50/night for the room and getting the golf on our own. I'll keep you posted.

On the "consensus" I was just feeling what the Vegas gang wants to do. Want the new guy and you snapper to be happy because it just won't make me that unhappy if we don't have handicaps. I'll still have a blast. I remain convinced that is generally unfair, but I agree to disagree so the most people have the most fun. Like Spock always says "the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few". Did I just type that geeky line outloud? Help me Lord.

What exactly will be concidered a concensus? All those who vote online or do we take a vote once everyone is present on Saturday? Should be interesting whatever happens!

while I do like the idea, I really don't like to be away from the lake that much, it sure is nice to go for a swim at the end of a long hot day of golf. But I'm willing to go with the concensus.

That sounds like a great plan. I actually had fun running between the bar and horse races at that casino.

I'll see if those guys at the Nordig hotel in Chewelah get back to me with a great golf and stay package for Tuesday night.

Let's see if we can go off a bit later than 7:00 am this year. That was a very early morning last year at the Casino.

Tommy has a suggestion.

How bout Circling Raven Sunday, spend the night, Monday 1st round Raven, home Monday night, Tuesday, 2nd round Chewy, spend the night, Wednesday, 3rd round Chewy, home Wednesday night, Thursday, 4th round Indian Canyon.

Thoughts?

I looked into a few hotels there. Not many as expected. Here's a review for the Nordig:

The Nordlig Motel is a small, family run establishment. We were overall very impressed. The room was very nice, everything seemed new, carpets, bathroom, etc. The bed was comfortable. There was a little frig and coffee in the room. The man at the front desk was very nice and helpful. There was a continental breakfast offered but we didn't partake.

The rate was also very good. We did the ski and stay package which was really a good deal.

We would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend it.

They also have a limited breakfast included. I emailed them to see about golf deals. We'll see.

chewy, extended stay

Post by Pill on Tue Jul 15, 2008 1:35 am

We still thinking about spending Monday and (maybe) Tuesday night in Chewy? I think it would be a blast. Wondering what we need to do with the "Who, what, and when", to make that happen. Both with Hotel and T times. Perhaps drive out there Monday morning and stay for two to three rounds. Anyone want to "own" that?
